Before adventuring through make sure you read and agree with our Terms Of Service, it won't take long <3

BUSINESS HOURS

Time to sew, time to reply, time to eat, time to sleep... Since we work on business hours (Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm) we're mostly away from computers/devices. We usually reply to email/messages by 6pm to 10pm from Monday-Friday and we're UTC/GMT -3 hours. Have that in mind when contacting us and remember that we might not be able to reply immediately.  We read all emails/messages and will reply shortly, don't worry! Messages sent during weekends will be answered by the next closest business day. Our main communication channel is email at cutekaiju@gmail.com , but we do check our Twitter and Instagram messages often.

PRICES AND ITEM DESCRIPTIONS

Please note these prices are based on a 2 main colour shades, simple marking designs (2 or less stripes, 3 or fewer dots, etc). Prices should be used as an estimate only, quotes require a full colour image reference.

CK_head.png

▸ Head starts at 800USD

Face off! Our default heads are made of foam and lined with 60%cotton/40%polyester fabric with no foam touching your face, all based on client head measures. The insides are large enough to be worn with glasses on or to add internal upgrades such as leds or coolers (services not provided by us).

The default eye design is 3D (follow me), we do not work with 2D eyes since the structure might clash with the lead artist style during construction. The neck part is removable (we use small magnets and velcro to keep the piece in place) and has 2 zippers, one for a hidden utility pocket in the front and one for polyfill stuffing in the back

Our base price refers to a simple head of a non mythological/open species creature design (dog, cat, rabbit, opossum, etc).

Extra features (whiskers, horns, spikes, removable tongue, complex markings, etc) will increase the base price of the head. Extra fees might be added depending on how hard they are to implement on our base design.

CK_paw.png

▸ Puffy Paws start at 175 USD

Gimme beans! Our default paws are puffy or feral with 5 fingers (we’re not producing 4 fingers paws at the moment) and we currently work with client measures to guarantee a comfortable fit. Hand paws are lined with 60%cotton / 40%polyester fabric and stuffed with polyfill to maintain the puffy shape. For claws, cuticles and beans we mostly use velvet or vinyl.

The base price refers to a pair of paws with no claws/cuticles.

Extra features (claws + cuticles, spikes, complex markings, etc) will increase the base price of the paws. For design reasons we do not install claws without the cuticles. Extra fees might be added depending on how hard they are to implement on our base design.

CK_tail.png

 Tail starts at 150 USD

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle! Our starter tail size is 30cm / 11.8in (rabbit, dear, bear, etc) with polyfill stuffing to keep the shape and a clean cut design.

Longer tails or additional extras (extra stuffing zipper, hidden pockets, spikes, complex markings etc) will increase the base price of the tail. Extra fees might be added depending on how hard they are to implement on our base design.

▸ Mini Partial (Head + Hand paws + Tail) starts at 1000 USD

Ready for action! This option comes with all the items described above

▸ Extra parts and add-ons

Please, inform us of said features during quoting applications since those extras are charged separately. At the moment, aside from the neck part and tongue, we’re not making removable features (magnet eyelids, magnet horns, etc).

 Artistic Liberty Mini Partial (Head + Hand paws + Tail) starts at 800USD

Our quotes for these requests will always be open! Artistic Liberty suits are projects we accept to test new shapes and solutions and we would love to make something outside of our normal projects for these slots.

To apply for the slots, just fill que Artistic Liberty Quote but have in mind that we have the following restrictions for these projects:

We WILL DO:

Your choice of animal/creature/hybrid idea;

Your choice of character gender and details (eyelashes, whiskers, blush, etc);

Your choice of extras (horns, extra eyes, spikes, etc);

Your choice of colors/shades of fur. We’ll prioritize quotes with subjects/colors more appealing for our studio portfolio.

We WON’T DO:

Follow a model sheet provided. This project will be made in partnership with the studio lead artist and the creature will be designed by us, following the customer guides;

Emulate other maker/artist style;

Realistic or semi realistic suits;

Use bases or supplies from other studios;

Replicate another suit made by the studio with minor/major changes;

Removable features (magnetic eyelids, magnetic horns, etc).

COMMISSION SLOTS AND QUEUE

We are open for new quote submissions! All you have to do is fill the Commission Quote and we’ll reply shortly. Queue will be uploaded to Trello as soon as we have the slots filled.

SENDING QUOTES

We’re accepting new submissions this time! Also, we’re always open for artistic liberty projects. Just fill our Artistic Liberty Quote.

Just have in mind that we won’t be replying quotes sent anywhere else but from the Commission Quote link. It’s easy to lose track of information when using other social medias to communicate, so we decided to keep commission information and quotes all centralized on our studio email ( cutekaiju@gmail.com ) and Google Forms.

TOS

Terms of Service

Hey there, fellow critter! We’re glad to hear that you’re interested in purchasing our creations and designs! Before contacting us about order details or commission slots, please take an extra minute to read our terms of service <3

The following are valid from October 02, 2019 on.

HOW TO ORDER

So you noticed our quotes are open and you truly wish to know what's up. Sure thing! Send us your design (a character reference with at least a back and a front poses) and we’ll give you our prices for the project. Remember that we need a clean character model in order to better analyze your application.

After getting the slot claimed and paid (refer to Quotes and Payment for more information, above), it’s time to get those sizes right! We might ask for some measures in order to build the best fitting pieces for you! Materials may be discussed in this step and any extras need to be decided before production begins.

We’re always open for artistic liberty projects. Just fill our Artistic Liberty Quote and we’ll give you more information about the project.

QUEUES AND PRODUCTION

We usually work with 3 annual queues, one at Early Year (January-April), one at Mid Year (May-August) and one at Late Year (September-December). These monthly divisions are just for reference and we might open less Quotes a year since some projects might take longer than others for completion.

Artistic Liberty Quotes do not follow the normal year division and might take longer to be delivered since those projects are made in between the production of our main Quotes.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

We’re all adults here… And you have to be at least 18 years old to send us an application since we do not accept orders from third party, even parents or legal guardians over the age of 18.

COMMUNICATION

Despite having different social media accounts where we share our creations, for business subjects we use mostly our official e-mail ( cutekaiju@gmail.com ) or Telegram (@cutekaiju). Customer must keep in contact with us during the creation of the fursuit. If no contact is made within 1 month once product is completed, the suit will be modified and sold off. No refund will be sent unless Cute Kaiju Critter Factory is contacted. Refunds will be given based on a case by case basis.

We do have a blacklist and reserve ourselves the rights to decline service if by any means communication becomes a problem (repeatedly replies, taking more than a week delay to be answered, fearmonger behavior, constant disrespectful language, continually delays caused by client side, etc). Doing suits is our love and profession and we do take our jobs really serious.

ARTISTIC LIMITATIONS

If you’re here, must be because you like our style, right? We will analyze each application and prioritise the ones closer to our designs when picking the jobs for our queue. The models will be transported to our style and sent to client's approval after the first invoice is paid.

For short, these are the things we DO:

Cartoon heads and extras (multiple eyes, horns, etc);

Plush style designs;

Kemono style designs;

3D Eyes (follow me!);

Short, mid long or extra long cartoon tails;

Puffy Paws (short or long sleeves);

Mini partials (head, paws and tail).

And the things we DON'T:

 Realistic or semi-toon designs;

 Costumes for sexual purposes and related modifications;

 Copyrighted characters (ex. Sonic, Mario, Digimon);

 Fan characters (ex. Pokemon, FNAF, etc.);

 Copies of someone else’s character;

 Copies of other makers style;

 Moving jaw (this kind of pattern requires a tight fit).

2D Eyes;

Removable Eyelids.

Since we’re still learning new techniques and testing designs, at the moment we’re not producing fullsuits, body suits or feet paws.

PORTFOLIO AND MATERIALS

Most of our creations and processes are shared on our social media accounts to spread the love. Since promotion is an important part of the business, we won’t be taking secret commissions.

Our quality is top priority and some of our process take longer than others. For that reason we won’t be taking rush orders and we do not work with pre set deadlines.

Unless stated by the client, our materials are faux fur fabrics available to us at the studio (at the moment, mostly Brazilian fabrics). You supplying your own materials does not change the price of the order. If you want a specific color or material to be used we ask in advance for that information so the materials can be bought and extra fees can be charged to help with shipping expenses and custom taxes of imported materials.

QUOTES AND PAYMENT

We’re super fresh and won’t be taking a lot of jobs at a time. Quotes are only valid when our commissions are open. When our commission quote form closes, that quote becomes void. Feel free to send a new one as we open for a new queue but have in mind that prices might vary.

We do not work with “first come, first served”, since we prioritize orders that fit our style and TOS the best.

Price is influenced by the number of colors, markings, complexity of the character, materials used, and special add-ons such as spikes, webbing, wings, and so on! When filling out a quote be sure to include what additional features (if any) you desire.

Once the costume quote is approved the client must be prepared to provide a 30% down-payment within 72 hours to hold the commission slot. Our invoices are valid for 72 hours after sent for our customers. After this date, the invoice will be void and your project will be retired from our queue. We will provide a link to our project queue to keep you updated on our progress through the queue. The remaining 70% + shipping fees, is due when your project is ready to ship.

We only accept payments through PayPal this time.

PAYMENT PLANS

We do accept payment plans, but the suit will only be started when the payment is complete and we won’t be taking payment plans of more than 8 months. We only accept payment plans for Partial suits and Artistic Liberty Partial Suits.

Our payment plan works as follows: 30% of the total value has to be paid up front and the rest can be paid in monthly parts (we’ll discuss values according to each case).

The first 30% placed down is nonrefundable and considered a payment over our time, design process and materials. If a refund is requested, outside of the first 30%, everything paid until the moment of the cancelation will be returned to the customer. Work completed will remain as our property (we might make modifications to the design and re-sell as a premade piece to cover the slot costs).

For more information, please refer to “Cancellations, Commission Termination and Refunds” in the next segments of the Terms of Service.

COMPLETION AND QUEUE

You can follow the queue or project status on Trello, since it’s our main business platform for that kind of information.

Our creative process have 3 main steps:

Character Style Adaptations and Colors

After your quote approval and payment, we’ll send you some sketches of your character in our style (this apply only for heads and mini partials), and might send some fur fabric photos to make sure we can deliver the closest rendering to your needs. At this point, you may make up to 2 major alterations on the design/colors.

Foam Base and WIPs

We’ll send you some photos of your character foam base or/and WIPs for consideration. You can make 2 alterations on this step. Keep in mind that after the production was approved and started you cannot make last minute changes on the main design of the product.

Final Touches

We’ll send you some pictures of the product at the final step. At this point, the piece is done but some small alterations or add ons might be accepted. Have in mind that some requests may increase the final price or just be declined.

Estimated completion dates will be based on when the commission is paid off and its' position in the commission queue. Completion dates are subject to change. We usually take about 4-6 months to finish an order, but this deadline may vary due to communication (lack of payment, delayed feedback from customer during production, etc) and/or material shipping delays.

SHIPPING

Remember that shipping costs are not included in the price of any costume/parts. After the costume is completed, there will be an additional shipping cost charged before sending your goods.

Most international shipping fees for our products start at 70USD, but this value may vary depending on the quantity and weight of the items shipped. This is stipulation for quick reference.

We are not responsible for the lost or damage of any product in transit and we don’t ship our items without insurance.

WARRANTY, REPAIRS AND RETURNS

Though we ask all of our clients take extra care to regularly clean and maintain their costumes to make sure they last as long as possible, we understand that accidents happen.

All costumes come with a 30 day warranty on arrival. After the 30 days, repairs will cost a fee depending on the severity of the work. Our warranty covers any fabrication defects (photos will be solicited so we can analyse each case) and won’t apply for rough use of the product or any problems caused by third party (weather, delivery services, etc).

If you're sending in your fursuit to get alterations or repairs, you must pay all shipping costs. We also require that the suit must be clean before you send it in. We refuse to work on dirty parts for cleanliness reasons. If you send us a piece that’s dirty, a fee for cleaning will be applied. Cleaning a fursuit takes a lot of time so please do it beforehand.

Popped seams can be easy to repair and we’re more than willing to assist you fixing these over messages if you’re not sending us your fursuit. If the customer can not be contacted during or within 3 months after repairs, the product will be kept, altered and sold off.

We do not take returns, since each step was made according to client’s approval and made to fit the client’s measures.

CANCELLATIONS, COMMISSION TERMINATION AND REFUNDS

If you must cancel your commission, please contact us as soon as possible. The first 30% placed down is nonrefundable and considered a payment over our time, design process and materials. If a refund is requested, just 70% of the valor paid at the time will be refunded outside of the first 30%. Work completed will remain as our property (we might make modifications to the design and re-sell as a premade piece to cover the slot costs).

Your order might be terminated if at anytime during the commission process you breach the terms stated in this Terms Of Service. If payments still need to be made and there has been a cease in contact after 3 months, the commission will be terminated and there will be no refund.

Refunds are not immediate and will be made over time according to each case.

ABOUT THE STUDIO AND MAKERS

We are a team of 3 makers (July, Lumi and Piccin) + assistants. Our studio is divided in 3 operation bases and most of our projects are made by the whole team efforts.

All 3 workplaces are animal free but all the staff is composed of animal owners and because of that our suits might have a small presence of animal fur in them.

To avoid mites and mold, all our materials and suits take sunbathes periodically (Oh! The wonders of living in a tropical country <3).

You read all. You agreed to everything on this document and you just can't wait to send us your quote...

Brace yourself, fellow critter, as we might open new slots from time to time to feed your creation needs! Just keep an eye on our Commission Slots & Info post and send us your request right away!
